There were more than 45 groups and individuals who participated and exhibited handcrafts materials, traditional and cultural food, cloths, and materials. They have sold the materials and made good promotion of the local market.
About 100 visitors have visited the exhibition, there were officials from the region and the local government, representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affair, traditional elders, religious leaders, school teachers, women organization, youth organizations, business community, journalists, young girls and boys. Young artists performed traditional songs about the value of women in the society as mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters.
Every year APD commemorate 8 March in different region of the Country, “ Women have 365 days to celebrate their success not only one day”, said the Mayor of Borama, Abdi Shide Bile during his speech.
Following the exhibition there was an award ceremony to recognize outstanding men and women in the region for their active participation in their field, such peace activists, leadership, community development, business, education, health, and youth activist.
