Forum for Civic Dialogue

The Forum for Civic Dialogue is a regularly held public gathering at which pertinent political, social and developmental issues are openly discussed and ideas for solving them are freely exchanged. It forms part of the Dialogue Pillar of the Academy for Peace and Development.

The next forum is scheduled for the end of June. The topic and invitation will be announced in due course.

Civic Forum Online

To invite broader participation in the debates, including from the diaspora, the Academy has set up a the » Civic Forum Online, where discussions may be continued after nights of hot debates end. It may also be used to suggest pressing topics for any upcoming Forums as APD strives to be responsive in the convening of debates.

Ground Rules

The face-to-face Forum for Civic Dialogue as well as the Civic Forum Online are governed by a set of » Ground Rules to ensure constructive debates. Therefore, both are moderated debates.
