- Training Workshop for Potential Women, Youth and Minoriities candidates for the upcoming local council elections of Somaliland.
- Workshop on "Public Participation in Local governance. Event will be held Burco, Berbera, Borama and Hargeisa cities respectively.
- Forum on the "Role of Clan in Local Elections".
- Workshop on "Capacity Building for Traditional Leaders in Local Governance".
April 2012 Democratization Pillar Upcoming Activities/Events:
- Forum on "Youth Political Participation in Somaliland". The event will be collectively organized by the Academy for Peace and Development, SONYO Umbrella and University of Hargeisa. (Date of the event will be soon noticed)
- Series Workshops will be held in the different cities of Hargeisa, Burco and Gebilay about "Strengthening Women Political Participation".
