Preparing for the NPGM 2006
The Academy for Peace and Development is currently
preparing for its fourth National Project Group Meeting (NPGM),
to be held on November 14/15 at Ambassador Hotel in Hargeisa. The
convention will bring together 100 participants from all regions
of Somaliland to mark the conclusion of the second phase of the
» Dialogue for Peace
Programme. Participants will be presented with the final publications
and documentary films of the three » entry
points that structured the Academy's work since the last NPGM
in 2004:
- Elections
- Resource-based Conflicts
- Decentralization
The meeting will discuss these products and the
Academy's achievements in the area of the entry points. Furthermore,
participants will advise APD on its future direction and suggest
issues to be addressed in future stages of the Dialogue for Peace
and other projects.
