APD participates in Diaspora kick-off Workshop in Brussels

On behalf of the Academy for Peace and Development, Naima Abdullahi had the opportunity to participate in the first kick-off workshop program for a research project that is currently underway.

The Diaspora for Peace Workshop was held in Brussels, Belgium, and included other research institutes which the Academy will be working closely with in the near future.

On May 5th, the working partners became acquainted and sketched out the project objectives and methodologies to be used when conducting research exploring the patterns, trends and the potential for long-distance Diaspora involvement in conflict settings.

The workshop concluded on May 6th with a successful outline of the three year project.
