Revenue and Land Management Workshop

On May 20-22, second regional workshops on revenue and land management was held in Borama , the capital city of Awdal region. The purpose of the workshop was to educate local government officials and other stakeholder on public finance with particular emphasis on local government revenue and its elements. It also meant to collect information about the current status of local government’s revenue systems and how it works.

The participants of the workshop were composed of local government officers, especially those concerned with finances, including the heads of the different departments of revenue, finance, land and the Executive secretary. In addition that, there were also members of the council from the Borama Municipality, representatives from the civil society, traditional elders, business community and regional department director of the Ministry of Finance.
