Amoud University Awards Certificate Of Outstanding To APD

(Borame, Somaliland-September 9, 2008) During Amoud University’s August 20th graduation ceremony, the Academy for Peace and Development was awarded an honorary certificate alongside the university’s 7th batch of graduates.

Upon awarding the certificate, the president of Amoud University, Professor Suleiman Guleid said stated that this certificate of outstanding contribution was awarded to the Academy because of their role in Peace, Reconciliation and the Political transformation in Somaliland.

Representing the Academy at the ceremony were executive director, Mr. Mohamed S. Gees, and the organisation’s Administration and Finance director, Mr. Hassan O. Hallas, who were both very pleased with the certificate.

Among the other institutions which were also awarded honorary certificates in their respective fields included the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, EU and the international NGO Progressio.
